Ponce Inlet

PonceInletLightHouse.jpgThis popular barrier island community is home to Florida's tallest lighthouse, designated a National Historic Landmark in 1998. It is also known for awesome surfing waves, prime fishing, and uncrowded, natural beaches.

Climb the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and experience forever views of the Atlantic Ocean, Halifax River, Daytona Beach, and New Smyrna Beach. Watch the moon rise over the water, or the sun set over the land. Visit the Lighthouse museum, including the Ayres Davies Lens Exhibit Building, housing one of the finest collections of Fresnel lenses in the world and the rotating first order Fresnel lens from the Cape Canaveral lighthouse. Visit the neighboring Marine Science Center with interactive exhibits including an active sea turtle and bird rescue center.

Visitors are drawn to this southern tip of a barrier island for the tranquil, relaxing lifestyle and the unspoiled landscape of a sought after community.
