Daytona Beach Real EstateOriginally incorporated as the town of Daytona, this small riverfront community grew to become the City of Daytona Beach in 1926 through the merger of two neighboring communities, Seabreeze and Daytona. Today, the Daytona International Speedway is the World Center of Racing and the corporate headquarters of NASCAR and the International Speedway Corporation. The City welcomes more than eight million visitors each year to a sub-tropical climate with both river and ocean frontages. Daytona Beach has implemented a strong redevelopment effort aimed at preserving the historic fabric of the community while providing quality accommodations and experiences for convention and tourism visitors. Daytona Beach is home to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Bethune-Cookman University, and Daytona Beach College which also houses a branch of the University of Central Florida. With Stetson University nearby plus the main campus of the University of Central Florida, this area of Central Florida produces more computer technology graduates than the Research Triangle of North Carolina.
